March Madness but better! Mac Madness at Automat Kitchen in Jersey City tips off on Thursday 3/18 with a slam dunk of five different mac & cheese specials from meatballs to sandwiches to pizza and more running through April 5. Coinciding with the NCAA championship game on Monday 4/5, whichever mac & cheese dish has sold the most will win the mac’ket bracket and be permanently added to Automat Kitchen’s menu, so let the cheese games begin!

Mac Madness specials include beef Meatballs Stuffed with Mac & Cheese Parm Sandwich with marinara, mozzarella and spinach on Balthazar ciabatta; BBQ Brisket Mac & Cheese with gorgonzola cheese; Pepperoni Pizza Mac & Cheese with mozzarella, parmesan, mascarpone, marinara and cupped pepperoni over mac & cheese crust. Their signature Mac & Cheese with elbow macaroni, cheese blen, parmesan crisp, toasted breadcrumbs, scallions and crema verde will be available on its own, as well as in a Mac & Cheese Sandwich (on ciabatta). Vegan Mac & Cheese with penne pasta, vegan cheddar, vegan mozzarella and oat milk will be offered with optional grilled tofu on top.
