On Saturday, September 29, Chef Anthony and Liz Pino invite you to join them as they celebrate the 20th anniversary of the day that they opened the doors of Anthony David’s (http://anthonydavids.com) at 953 Bloomfield Street, Hoboken, their hometown. What began as a modest gourmet shop became a local culinary landmark and the foundation of Pino Hospitality, a hometown family business that has brought people together for two decades.
The charming block of 10th Street between Washington and Bloomfield Streets will be set with tables for outdoor dining; along with Anthony David’s renowned brunch, Chef Pino will man a sizzling outdoor grill to serve a 1998 Blue Plate Special: Herb-Roasted Chicken with sides including Dijon Potato Salad, Penne with Feta, or Potato Pancakes. Anthony’s original, famous Crab Cake will also be on the menu, alongside a Sangria bar serving Unionville Wines.
There will be vibrant live music from renowned local band Swingadelic, and fun activities for the kids. An anniversary ribbon-cutting, bringing together 20 years of past and present Hoboken Mayors, Bhalla, Zimmer, and Roberts, will mark the occasion.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Hudson County CASA, a foster children’s organization and longtime beneficiary of the Pinos’ philanthropic efforts. The first 100 guests will receive a goody bag of nostalgic Anthony David’s treats and gifts from other longtime business neighbors.
Brunch reservations can be made by calling 201-222-8399.
